AJ Lee, who lost the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the first night of WWE WrestleMania 42 a few hours ago, opened up about her match against Becky Lynch.
In an interview with Jackie Redmond during the WrestleMania Post-Show, Lee said that despite the loss, she is happy with the experience and, most of all, to be back at WrestleMania after so long.
“This has been my favorite WrestleMania experience so far—maybe even my favorite match. Even though I lost, I got to have my family here, and for many of them, it was their first time. With my entrance, I wanted to represent all the fans who’ve been with me since day one—the ones who wore my outfits, my shirts, my shorts, my shoes, and skipped along with me the whole way.”
“That was for you. I love you. I never got to say goodbye last time, and I always felt bad about that. So this isn’t goodbye — but I’ll see you soon. I hope.”
AJ Lee had won the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber in February, holding the title for 49 days.
