Karrion Kross says WWE dropped plans for him and Scarlett to appear on RAW after SummerSlam without telling them why. The change came during his final days with the company.
Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Kross said a storyline was set for the episode after his last match. But on the Sunday following the event, they were told the plans were off and that they’d be flown home instead.

“Yes, I was at Night 2, I came in for media. Well, I was told we were going to RAW. There was a creative idea in the air. Um, Sunday we got a message saying we’re gonna be flown home, so now we’re not gonna be on RAW. That didn’t feel very good. We weren’t given any reason.”
The decision came right after Kross’ last WWE match at SummerSlam on August 2, where he lost to Sami Zayn. The match ended a tense feud, and some fans and veterans like Matt Morgan felt the loss stalled his momentum.
The canceled appearance came just before their contracts expired on August 10. Kross has also said WWE pulled a new contract offer after giving him only 24 hours to decide, adding to what he’s called a disappointing exit.
