Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s recent WWE exit has sparked plenty of speculation, and an incident at this week’s RAW has only added to it.
During the Quebec City broadcast, reports surfaced that security removed signs in support of the pair. Dave Meltzer discussed the matter on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying:
“You know they did confiscate some of the signs? I heard from several people at the show, and they said people thought people might chant. Nobody chanted. There were a few signs in the crowd, I didn’t see anyone taking them away and I did see them later in the show, but someone who was there said, ‘Yeah, they absolutely took the signs away.’”
The timing stands out. Their contracts expired on August 10, just days before RAW, and WWE quickly moved them to its alumni section. Both have since confirmed they’re done with the company and have begun taking independent bookings under the “Killer Kross” name.
The move has fueled talk that their departure could be part of a storyline designed to blur reality and fiction, something WWE has done before. While Kross voiced frustration over his final year, he didn’t rule out a return, keeping the situation open-ended.
It’s unclear if the sign removal was ordered by WWE or handled solely by local security. After Kross’s clean loss to Sami Zayn at SummerSlam, which looked like the end of his current run, the questions about where he and Scarlett truly stand with the company aren’t going away anytime soon.
