WWE Makes Major Announcements for Next Week’s NXT

The August 19 episode of WWE NXT, airing live from The Met Philadelphia, now includes a “Peace Treaty” between Ethan Page & Chelsea Green and Tavion Hughes & Tyra Mae Steele. The segment aims to put an end to their ongoing feud.

This addition joins a card already loaded with key matches. Trick Williams faces Je’Von Evans in the main event to decide the next challenger for the NXT Championship. The winner will meet Oba Femi at Heatwave. Former allies Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura will settle their differences in a Philadelphia Street Fight.

The night also features TNA’s Jordynne Grace against Blake Monroe, and Jasper Troy taking on Ricky Saints. The TNA crossover continues with Fatal Influence meeting the Elegance Brand, a bout that could shape the Knockouts Title picture.

The “Peace Treaty” follows Page’s claim that he had official paperwork drawn up to resolve the conflict, adding an unusual twist to the ongoing storyline.

Momentum for the Philadelphia special built during the August 12 episode, which included an eight-man tag with NXT and TNA talent, the return of Joe Hendry, and a main event win for SmackDown’s Nia Jax.

This will be NXT’s first show at The Met Philadelphia, marking another step in the brand’s run of high-profile events as part of its multi-year partnership with The CW.
