Sami Zayn has been officially traded to the SmackDown roster. The announcement was made during the August 15 episode after Zayn confronted Solo Sikoa and his MFT faction. Zayn interrupted Sikoa’s opening promo to declare his move to the blue brand and immediately challenged Sikoa for the United States Championship.
The confrontation quickly escalated into a brawl, with Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu coming to Zayn’s aid against the MFT. Following the altercation, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis confirmed the trade was official. Aldis also scheduled a six-man tag team match for the main event, pitting Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso, and Jacob Fatu against three members of Sikoa’s faction.

Zayn’s move from Raw is reportedly part of a larger roster adjustment. Prior to his arrival on SmackDown, Zayn had been a fixture on Monday nights, frequently involved in the World Heavyweight Championship picture.
The trade positions Zayn as a prominent babyface on the SmackDown brand. It also opens up the possibility of a future reunion with his long-time partner and rival, Kevin Owens, who is also a member of the SmackDown roster.
