Roman Reigns Reaches Major Milestone Ahead of Clash in Paris Match

Roman Reigns reached a significant career milestone today, August 19, 2025, marking 15 years since his first televised in-ring appearance in Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), WWE’s former developmental territory.

On August 19, 2010, Reigns, then performing under the name “Roman Leakee,” debuted in a 15-man battle royal. He continued to use the Leakee name through his time in FCW and early NXT run before adopting the Roman Reigns moniker in September 2012. He made his NXT television debut as Roman Reigns that October, one month prior to his main roster debut with The Shield at Survivor Series.

In the 15 years since that first appearance, Reigns has become a six-time world champion, holding the WWE Championship four times and the Universal Championship twice. His most recent reign as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion lasted a record-breaking 1,316 days. He is also a Grand Slam Champion, having held the Intercontinental, United States, and Tag Team Championships.

The anniversary comes as Reigns is engaged in a new rivalry on Raw with Seth Rollins’ faction and is scheduled to face Bronson Reed at the Clash in Paris premium live event on August 31. The match was confirmed on the August 18 episode of Monday Night Raw following a chaotic brawl.

During the main event, an Extreme Rules match between Jey Uso and Bron Breakker, Reigns made a surprise return after a week’s absence. He delivered a spear to Breakker before confronting Reed with a Superman Punch. Following the altercation, Reigns took the microphone and stated, “See you in Paris,” officially setting up their match.

The feud with Reed began ahead of SummerSlam 2025, with Reed attacking Reigns and stealing his signature sneakers. Reed has since been taunting Reigns, calling himself the “Tribal Thief” and wearing the shoes around his neck as a trophy he calls the “Shoe-la Fala”.
