During the interview, Maher referenced the career paths of The Rock and John Cena as examples she admires, pointing to an interest in acting as well. When asked about WWE, she acknowledged the financial appeal of the move, while also noting her reservations about the scripted nature of sports entertainment.
Maher is currently preparing to represent the United States at the Women’s Rugby World Cup, which begins on August 22. Any decision regarding WWE would come only after the tournament. Should she make the transition, she would follow a path similar to Ridge Holland, who also came from a rugby background before signing with the company.
Beyond the field, Maher has established a wide public profile. With nearly nine million social media followers, she received the ESPN ESPY award for Breakthrough Athlete in July 2025 and previously competed on Dancing with the Stars. World Rugby officials recently listed her among the eight most marketable athletes in the sport, further highlighting her crossover potential.
