Montez Ford of The Street Profits has directly addressed the ongoing speculation about a potential team split, stating that a betrayal between him and partner Angelo Dawkins has “never crossed our minds.” During an appearance on No-Contest Wrestling, Ford compared the fan desire for solo runs to that of famous music groups like The Jackson 5 and *NSYNC, but affirmed their commitment to remaining a unit.

Ford elaborated that focusing on solo aspirations can be detrimental to a tag team’s success. He contrasted The Street Profits’ loyalty with other duos, including The Usos, stating, “you’ve got all these tag teams that turned against their brother. In like 10 years, we’ve never decided to do that because we know that nobody wins when the family feuds.”
Despite his firm stance against a hostile split, Ford did address a scenario where he and Dawkins might have to compete against one another. He used the Royal Rumble as an example, describing a potential face-off as a respectful encounter. “Hey brother, I love you, but this where we at right now,” Ford said, clarifying it would be a professional confrontation, not a personal betrayal.
The persistent discussion about Ford’s singles career stems from reported interest within WWE management, as both Vince McMahon and Triple H have been noted as being high on his potential. This was previously showcased at Elimination Chamber in 2023, where Ford competed in a high-profile match for the WWE United States Championship.
