After Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s WWE contracts ended on August 10, talk spread online that staff were taking away fan signs for the duo during the August 11 RAW in Canada. That story turned out to be untrue.
The claim came from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, who said he’d heard from people at the event that Kross signs were being removed.

“You know they did confiscate some of the signs tonight? Yeah, I mean nobody chanted. And I heard from several people at the show, and they said people thought people might chant. Nobody chanted. There were a few signs in the crowd, I didn’t see anyone taking them away and I did see them later in the show, but someone who was there said, ‘Yeah, they absolutely took the signs away.’”
Follow-up checks from several wrestling outlets showed this wasn’t the case. During the live broadcast, multiple Kross signs were visible to viewers, contradicting the idea that staff were targeting them.
Kross and Scarlett are now open to independent bookings. While some in the locker room believe a return could happen, WWE officials reportedly see them as gone for good. For now, speculation over their next move continues, but the talk of silenced fan support has been settled.
