Natalya is set to challenge Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on this Monday’s episode of WWE Raw. The challenge was made by Natalya herself via a video posted to her Twitter account on Saturday, prior to her match at AAA’s TripleMania.
In the announcement, Natalya stated, “Tonight I get to make history at @luchalibreaaa TRIPLEMANIA in Arena CDMX. Monday at #WWERaw in Philadelphia, I get to make @BeckyLynchWWE HISTORY. With so much going on in times like these, I wish I could split myself in half. But maybe I can… Maybe I already have. #LowkeyLegend”

The championship match comes after a recent confrontation between the two superstars. On the August 11 episode of Raw, Lynch successfully defended her title against Maxxine Dupri. Natalya, who had initially challenged for the title before the opportunity was given to Dupri, was at ringside for the bout and faced off with Lynch after the match.
Lynch is the second woman to hold the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. She captured the title by defeating the inaugural champion, Lyra Valkyria, in a Last Chance match at Money in the Bank on June 7, 2025. Her reign also includes a successful defense in a triple-threat match against Valkyria and Bayley at Evolution on July 13.
The title was first introduced by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce on November 25, 2024, to serve as a secondary championship for the women’s division. Valkyria became the first-ever champion by winning a tournament that concluded on the January 13, 2025, episode of Raw, where she defeated Dakota Kai in the finals.
At TripleMania, Natalya was defeated by Lady Flammer in a match that also included Faby Apache for the Reina de Reinas Championship. The updated lineup for this Monday’s WWE Raw is as follows:
- WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Becky Lynch vs. Natalya
- Xavier Woods vs. Penta
- Naomi appears
