Karrion Kross Set for In-Ring Return After WWE Exit

Karrion Kross, reverting to his “Killer Kross” moniker, is scheduled for his first match since his WWE contract expired earlier this month. The bout will take place at WrestlePro’s “Killer Smokeshow” event on September 21 at the Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, NJ. Scarlett will accompany him for the appearance. His opponent has not yet been announced.

The booking comes shortly after Kross’s official departure from WWE, which occurred when his contract expired on August 10, 2025. This in-ring return confirms his status as a free agent and puts to rest any speculation that his exit was part of a storyline. Before this match, Kross is also scheduled for several non-competing appearances at wrestling conventions.

The separation from WWE followed a public contract dispute. Kross stated in an interview that on August 12, WWE presented a contract offer and gave him a 24-hour deadline to accept, without providing the metrics behind the valuation. After he requested more information, the company rescinded the offer on August 13. Scarlett Bordeaux was reportedly not offered a separate contract during these negotiations.

In the wake of his exit, fan support for the performer became prominent, with audible “We Want Kross” chants during the August 15 episode of WWE SmackDown. On August 18, Kross addressed the chants in an Instagram video, thanking the fans for their support.

Solidifying his return to his pre-WWE identity, Kross released a new entrance theme on August 17 titled “Don’t Kross a Killer” by NOWHERE2RUN. The song’s lyrics reference his time in WWE and reinforce the darker persona he was known for on the independent circuit.
