John Cena, Logan Paul Brawl Breaks Out on SmackDown in Dublin

John Cena and Logan Paul escalated their rivalry with personal insults on SmackDown, culminating in Cena delivering an Attitude Adjustment ahead of their Paris match.

During the August 22 edition of WWE SmackDown in Dublin, Ireland, a fiery confrontation between John Cena and Logan Paul ended with Paul receiving an Attitude Adjustment. The segment saw Paul levy personal attacks against Cena regarding his past relationship and a recent Oscars appearance, while Cena retaliated by labeling Paul a “disappointment” and a “parasite” who is only using WWE for personal gain.

The exchange began when Logan Paul interrupted Cena’s entrance. Addressing the hostile Irish crowd, Paul intentionally misidentified their location as England before turning his attention to Cena, calling him an “actor who knows how to wrestle.” Paul continued his verbal assault by referencing Cena’s naked appearance at the Oscars and a “cohabitation agreement” from Cena’s past relationship with Nikki Bella.

In response, Cena acknowledged that Paul is a future WWE Champion, a fact he claimed to hate. He then stated that Paul isn’t an outsider, but rather a “disappointment.” Cena accused Paul of using the company as a “branding opportunity to buy another Pokemon card” instead of showing respect for the business. He contrasted his own 23-year career with Paul’s 23 matches, claiming that while he asks what he can do for WWE, Paul only asks what he can take from it. Cena finished by calling Paul a “parasite,” a label the Dublin crowd began to chant.

The war of words turned physical after Paul got in Cena’s face and knocked his hat off. When Paul swung at him, Cena ducked the punch and executed an Attitude Adjustment to close the segment.

This confrontation serves as the final major buildup for their scheduled match at WWE Clash in Paris on August 31.
