Hulk Hogan Did Not Fulfill One Final Wish in WWE

Hulk Hogan’s friend B. Brian Blair said the wrestling legend held onto the dream of one more match until his final days.

Hulk Hogan never lost the urge to compete. His longtime friend B. Brian Blair says that even in his final days, the WWE Hall of Famer still imagined himself returning for one last match.

“Terry [Hulk Hogan] always had that fire in him. He still, to his last breath, dreamed about going back in the ring again. ‘One more, one more, one more.’”

Blair noted that for wrestlers, walking away is never easy. The dream stayed alive long after Hogan’s last official match in January 2012, when he teamed with James Storm and Sting to defeat Bobby Roode, Bully Ray, and Kurt Angle at a TNA live event.

Hogan’s final WWE match came years earlier at SummerSlam 2006 against Randy Orton. In the years after, he often hinted at a comeback, an idea backed by his friend and manager Jimmy Hart.

That vision of a return stood in sharp contrast to his last WWE appearance on January 6, 2025, during RAW. The crowd greeted him with loud boos, a response Hart later said left Hogan “devastated.”

Hogan passed away on July 24, 2025, without the chance to have the one more match he wanted.
