Finn Balor Breaks Silence After “Demon” Return at AAA TripleManía

Finn Balor has officially acknowledged a new element of his persona, taking to social media to post a photo of a puppet named “Demonito.” On August 17, 2025, Balor published a picture on X featuring the puppet alongside his World Tag Team Championship, with the post captioned simply, “DEMONITO.”

The post follows the character’s introduction at the TripleMania 33 event in Mexico City on August 16. During the show, Balor teamed with Judgment Day members JD McDonagh and Raquel Rodriguez to defeat the team of Mr. Iguana, Nino Hamburguesa, and Lola Vice in a six-person tag team match. The “Demonito” puppet was used in a spot during the match, interacting with Mr. Iguana’s own puppet, La Yezka.

This new take on the Demon gimmick comes after Balor has previously voiced his concerns regarding the character’s presentation on the WWE main roster. The last time the full “Demon” persona appeared on WWE television was at WrestleMania 39 in a Hell in a Cell match against Edge.

In a past interview on The Ringer Wrestling Show, Balor stated that he wanted more creative input if the character were to return, feeling it had not been used to its full potential.

“For whatever reason, it was kind of overused, a little bit. I don’t even know if overused is the right word, but it wasn’t used as effectively as I would have wished in the past. In the future, if we do it again, I would like to have more creative input in how it’s done, and I feel I’m in a good place now that I would be able to.”
