With WWE and UFC working more closely under the TKO banner, another crossover appearance is lined up. CM Punk is expected to attend UFC 319 on August 16 at the United Center in Chicago, his hometown.

WrestleVotes Radio reports that Punk was invited to the event, which will be headlined by a UFC Middleweight Championship bout between Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev.
It’s not confirmed if Punk will be shown on the broadcast. He could appear on camera or simply be there backstage or in the crowd. Given the growing WWE–UFC connection, an on-screen moment wouldn’t be unexpected.
Although his brief UFC run is often brought up by WWE rivals, Punk’s appearance is sure to spark discussion among wrestling and MMA fans. These kinds of crossovers are becoming more frequent, suggesting they may soon be a regular sight for both companies.
