If, on one hand, the real problems between Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill — which dominate the most commented topics of the pro-wrestling community on the internet — might not seem beneficial, on the other, WWE is reportedly very happy with the situation.

The logic for this perception by the company is simple: according to Fightful Select, these recent discussions between the wrestlers, even in the personal sphere, will create the ideal atmosphere for the rivalry between both on TV on the way to WrestleMania 42.

As the winner of the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match, last Saturday, in Chicago, Ripley will face Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at the Showcase of the Immortals.

The expectation is that the first face to face between the two happens as soon as the next episode of Friday Night SmackDown, on March 6.

Since winning the title in November 2025, by defeating then-champion Tiffany Stratton in an edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cargill defended it only once, two weeks ago, on Friday Night SmackDown, against Jordynne Grace.

Ripley, in turn, despite the great triumph in Chicago, was defeated last week, also on Friday Night SmackDown. Alongside IYO SKY, she lost to Lash Legend and Nia Jax, surrendering the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
