Royce Keys, despite not having made new appearances in WWE after his debut at the Royal Rumble, on January 31, in Saudi Arabia, is in the plans of the company’s creative team for Friday Night SmackDown, even if for the future.
Previously, rumors emerged about the wrestler’s future, stating that WWE had no creative plans for him, this being the reason for his absence. However, as we previously reported at The Wrestling Reports, the speculations were false.
According to new information from Bodyslam.net, despite not appearing on TV, Keys is being booked for Dark Matches on Friday Night SmackDown. The central idea is to make the athlete adapt to the production style and atmosphere of WWE.
PW Insider, moreover, reported in a recent article that several vignettes have already been recorded for Keys, aiming for the period when he is close to making his debut on the blue brand.
Royce Keys signed with WWE on January 23, ending a five-year stint with AEW.
The last match of Keys in Tony Khan’s company happened at AEW Rampage Maximum Carnage, where, alongside The Opps, he lost the AEW World Trios Championship to Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight, and Hangman Adam Page.
