Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has spoken out after his son, Raja Jackson, assaulted wrestler Syko Stu during a KnokX Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles on August 23. In a recent livestream, the former UFC champion condemned the attack, expressed regret for what happened, and criticized the way the incident was portrayed online.

Jackson said he felt remorse for the harm done to Stuart Smith, known as Syko Stu, and for Smith’s family. While making clear he did not approve of Raja’s actions, he stated he would let “justice take its course.” He added:

I feel bad about what happened to Syko Stu. I don’t approve of what my son did in any way — it’s very unfortunate.

The former fighter then turned his attention to the online response. He accused content creators of exploiting the situation, saying:

I saw a lot of people editing stupid clips to make clickbait just to make money. That’s not fair. And I saw a lot of racist people showing their true colors.

The incident took place after Smith reportedly struck Raja with a drink can before the match. According to Rampage, his son had been told he would get a chance to respond in the ring, but the planned segment escalated. Once inside, Raja delivered a slam and landed more than 20 punches on Smith, leaving him unconscious until others intervened.

Rampage also revealed that Raja had suffered a concussion during sparring days earlier and should not have been doing anything involving physical contact. He described the entire sequence as a “work that went wrong.”

KnokX Pro Wrestling issued a statement condemning the assault, calling it a “selfish and irresponsible act of violence.” The promotion said a staged moment intended for the show had spiraled into unacceptable behavior.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed a felony assault report was filed following the incident. Detectives are now investigating, though as of Monday, August 25, no arrests had been made.
