Killer Kross Breaks Silence on Fan Confusion Surrounding WWE Departure

Killer Kross has directly addressed the fan confusion surrounding his recent WWE departure, stating his main priority is ensuring the audience has a positive experience. In a recent interview with Cultaholic, Kross explained his reluctance to see fans upset, noting, “My only concern is that when I meet fans, I don’t like to see them confused or upset. That’s the opposite of my job.”

He acknowledged that while he considered the possibility of the situation evolving into a storyline, he ultimately felt a responsibility to provide clarity. “I did my best to address everything the best way that I could,” Kross stated.

This widespread speculation was definitively put to rest following Kross’s shocking return to Game Changer Wrestling at Homecoming on August 23. Accompanied by Scarlett, he interfered in the Garage Beer Championship match, attacking Matt Cardona and helping Shotzi Blackheart secure the victory.

In a fiery backstage promo following the attack, Kross emphatically declared his departure was not a “work” and that he was ready to move on. This appearance at GCW, the promotion where he originally cultivated his “Killer Kross” persona, served as a clear statement of his free agency.

With his status firmly established, Kross is wasting no time lining up independent appearances. He is scheduled for a No Disqualification match against Richard Holliday at WrestlePro’s Killer Smokeshow on September 21 and will make his debut for House of Glory at With Glory Comes Pride on October 10.

Further cementing his move away from WWE, Kross released a new entrance theme and an accompanying cinematic video on August 17. The production of his own music is a significant step for a post-WWE talent, indicating a long-term plan outside the company.

Kross and Scarlett’s contracts with WWE officially expired on August 10 after the two sides failed to agree on new terms. Kross previously revealed that WWE had made an offer a week prior but rescinded it after he requested further discussion regarding the proposed valuation.
