AEW President Tony Khan indicated that the company could return to the United Kingdom before the summer of 2026. The announcement came on Wednesday, August 20, at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, after the tapings of Dynamite and Collision.
During his interaction with the Glasgow crowd, Khan asked whether AEW should wait until next summer for another visit. When the audience reacted negatively, he followed up by asking if they preferred an earlier return. After receiving a strong positive response, Khan told fans:

“Maybe we don’t have to wait until next summer to come back to the UK. Maybe we’ll speed things up just for you.”
The statement was made as AEW continues its current UK tour, which included the company’s first-ever stop in Scotland. The tour is set to conclude on Sunday, August 24, with Forbidden Door at the O2 Arena in London. The pay-per-view, produced in partnership with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, will mark the first edition of Forbidden Door held outside North America.
This series of events in the UK builds on AEW’s expansion strategy in the region, following previous All In shows at Wembley Stadium.
