All Elite Wrestling’s Forbidden Door, taking place tonight at the O2 Arena in London, is set to break a significant attendance record currently held by WWE. As of this afternoon, 17,573 tickets have been sold for the event, putting it just shy of the 17,617 tickets distributed for WWE’s Money in the Bank in the same building back in 2023.
The strong demand for AEW’s debut in the venue prompted the company to add 3,158 seats, bringing the total setup to 17,723. With only 175 tickets remaining, the show has already outdrawn previous Forbidden Door installments, which saw 16,529 fans in 2022 and 14,826 in 2023. While the attendance milestone is within reach, the total gate is expected to be lower than the $3,323,751 USD generated by Money in the Bank, reflecting a difference in average ticket prices between the two promotions. Still, surpassing WWE’s attendance figure would mark a major achievement for both AEW and its partner, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, which has seen several of its top stars depart since AEW’s inception.

A key figure at tonight’s event, UK native Will Ospreay, has challenged the London crowd to make history in another way. Citing that this is the first AEW pay-per-view in the UK to be held in an arena with a roof, Ospreay called on the audience to break the world record for the loudest crowd roar at an indoor event.
Ospreay is scheduled to compete in a featured Lights Out Steel Cage match, teaming with Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, & Hiroshi Tanahashi to face Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Gabe Kidd, & The Young Bucks.
The card for Forbidden Door also includes several major championship bouts:
- AEW World Championship: “Hangman” Adam Page (c) vs. MJF
- AEW Women’s World Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. ROH Women’s World Champion Athena
- AEW Unified World Trios Championship: The Hurt Syndicate (c) vs. FTR vs. Brodido
- AEW Unified Championship: Kazuchika Okada vs. Swerve Strickland
