Drew McIntyre has refused to publicly address his involvement in Vince McMahon’s 80th birthday celebration. When asked about the subject during an appearance on Adam’s Apple, McIntyre responded bluntly:

I’m not going to comment on that on the internet, am I?

The private party was held in New York and included appearances from several WWE names such as The Undertaker, John Cena, Sheamus, and JBL. Although a photo surfaced online showing McIntyre alongside Sheamus, The Miz, and Jerry Lawler, it was quickly removed. The image, along with the confirmed presence of WWE stars, fueled negative reactions from many fans.

The backlash stems from McMahon’s ongoing legal situation. Earlier this year, the former WWE chairman resigned from WWE and TKO after being accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking by former employee Janel Grant. Despite that, WWE has informed talent that attending McMahon’s party was a personal decision and no longer a company restriction. Internally, however, officials have emphasized there are no plans to reinstate McMahon in any role.

Behind the scenes, reactions have been split. Some within WWE view their attendance as loyalty to McMahon, while others prefer to distance themselves until the legal proceedings reach a conclusion.
