Ash By Elegance Wins TNA Knockouts Championship at NXT Heatwave

Ash By Elegance is the new TNA Knockouts World Champion, capturing the title at NXT Heatwave on Sunday, August 24, in Lowell, Massachusetts. She defeated former champion Jacy Jayne and Masha Slamovich in a Triple Threat match.

The match’s conclusion saw interference from Ash’s faction, The Elegance Brand. After both The Elegance Brand and Jayne’s group, Fatal Influence, were ejected from ringside earlier in the bout, Ash’s allies returned. They pulled Jacy Jayne out of the ring, allowing Ash to hit a splash on Slamovich to secure the pinfall victory.

The title change marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing collaboration between WWE and TNA Wrestling. NXT Heatwave was the first time a TNA championship was ever defended at a WWE-branded event.

Jacy Jayne, who is also the reigning NXT Women’s Champion, initially won the Knockouts title at TNA’s Slammiversary, defeating Masha Slamovich in a “Winner Take All” match. Ash By Elegance had previously earned her spot as the number one contender by winning a battle royal on TNA iMPACT!. The path to the Triple Threat was set after Ash and Slamovich interfered in each other’s respective championship matches against Jayne, leading to back-to-back disqualifications.

For Ash By Elegance, the victory represents a significant milestone in her career reinvention. Formerly known as Dana Brooke during a decade-long run in WWE that ended in September 2023, she joined TNA and adopted a completely new persona, establishing herself as a prominent figure in the Knockouts division.
