Betting lines for this Sunday’s NXT Heatwave premium live event indicate that at least two championships are expected to change hands. The odds favor new champions in both the NXT Tag Team Championship and the TNA Knockouts World Championship matches.

In the NXT Tag Team Championship bout, challengers DarkState are listed as -250 favorites to defeat the current champions, Hank Walker & Tank Ledger (+170). Another title change is anticipated in the TNA Knockouts World Championship triple threat match, with Masha Slamovich (-150) favored over the defending champion Jacy Jayne (+110) and fellow challenger Ash By Elegance (+600).

Conversely, the main event is projected to see a successful title defense. NXT Champion Oba Femi (-400) is heavily favored to retain his championship against number one contender Je’Von Evans (+250).

Evans secured his title opportunity on the August 19 go-home episode of NXT by defeating TNA World Champion Trick Williams, a victory that came following interference from Mike Santana. Femi has held the NXT Championship since January 2025.

The finalized card for the event also includes a mixed tag team match pitting North American Champion Ethan Page & Chelsea Green against Tavion Heights & Tyra Mae Steele. Additionally, Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan, and Lola Vice will compete in a triple threat match to determine a future contender for the NXT Women’s Championship, while Jordynne Grace is scheduled to face Blake Monroe.

NXT Heatwave is set to take place this Sunday, August 24, in Toronto, Canada. The event will air live on Peacock for viewers in the United States and on Netflix for international audiences.
