Top Star Officially Moves to WWE RAW

LA Knight is now an official member of the WWE RAW roster, with the move confirmed by his updated profile on the company’s website. While Knight has been featured on RAW programming for months, the official brand switch comes after WWE’s designated transfer window closed at the Royal Rumble earlier this year.

The company has not provided an on-air explanation for the transfer. Knight’s move solidifies his position on Monday nights as he prepares to challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Clash in Paris.

Knight’s transition from SmackDown, his primary brand since his main roster debut in 2022, is reportedly storyline-driven. He is currently in a high-profile rivalry with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and his faction, The Vision, which includes Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Knight gained significant momentum after pinning Rollins on an episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event, leading to his campaign for a title opportunity.

The rivalry escalated after Rollins returned from a kayfabe injury at SummerSlam to reclaim the championship. In recent weeks, the conflict has expanded to include CM Punk and Jey Uso. All four men are now scheduled for a Fatal Four-Way match for the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash in Paris on August 31, 2025.

Reports indicate the roster change coincides with Sami Zayn’s recent move to SmackDown, suggesting an unofficial trade between the brands. The move is also seen as part of a broader strategy to feature new top stars on Raw ahead of its upcoming debut on Netflix. Internally, the decision was reportedly made to bring a “refreshing face” to the red brand’s main event scene.
