After acquiring Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, WWE is weighing a redesign of the promotion’s well-known logo. The move would be part of a larger plan to refresh AAA’s image and fold it into WWE’s global strategy.

The idea, reported by WrestleVotes Radio, lines up with other planned changes for the promotion. WWE has already announced AAA will operate as a separate brand starting next year, timed with the launch of its new deal with ESPN. That partnership aims to expand AAA’s reach, and a modernized logo could play a central role in the rebrand.
Plans also include a WWE-supported Performance Center in Mexico set to open in 2025. Similar to the NXT model, it will serve as a training hub for new luchadores and help develop talent for AAA’s future roster.
The first major event under this new partnership, TripleMania XXXIII, takes place this Saturday, August 16. Produced with WWE’s involvement, it will stream free on YouTube and feature a mix of stars from both companies. The main event has El Hijo Del Vikingo defending the AAA Mega Championship against WWE’s Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano—showcasing the cross-brand approach that’s expected to shape AAA going forward.
